FAQ
Working with Midnight Brunch
Midnight Brunch is a Boston-based, award-winning video production and marketing company. We produce corporate video, brand films, commercials, event livestreams, photography, and full-funnel marketing campaigns for businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies across the country. We're a tight full-time crew of filmmakers, photographers, editors, motion designers, and marketers, with a deep bench of trusted collaborators we tap when a project demands it.
We're based in Boston, Massachusetts with additional presence in New York and Brazil. We work nationwide and have produced content in dozens of cities for clients ranging from Harvard and MIT to the US FDA and the White House. Travel and on-location shoots are a normal part of how we work. If you're outside the Boston area, that's not a problem.
The easiest way is to email us at hello@midnightbrunch.com or call 617.419.0037. No brief required! We're happy to start with a conversation about what you're trying to accomplish and take it from there. If you're not sure which service fits your needs, we offer a free 20-minute audit where we'll talk through your goals and suggest the best approach.
We've worked with bootstrapped startups, Fortune 500 companies, federal government agencies, nonprofits, universities, and everything in between. Our clients span life sciences and biotech, food and beverage, tech, healthcare, financial services, higher education, and entertainment. If you have a story worth telling, we're interested, regardless of your industry or org size.
Yes — and it's some of the most rewarding work we do. We've partnered with organizations including Best Buddies, Kids in Tech, and others doing meaningful work in their communities. If you're a nonprofit, reach out. We work within real-world budget constraints and genuinely want to help organizations doing good tell their story well.
Yes. Midnight Brunch is a registered SAM (System for Award Management) vendor, which means we're fully eligible to work with federal agencies, respond to RFQs and RFPs, and serve as a subcontractor to prime contractors. Our SAM registration is active and renewed annually.
We have direct experience producing video, event, and communications content for federal clients including the US Food and Drug Administration, the Executive Office of the President, and the JFK Presidential Library. We understand the pace, protocols, and standards that government work demands and we're comfortable operating within them.
If you're a contracting officer, a procurement team, or a prime looking for a qualified subcontractor, you can find our full credentials, including CAGE Code, UEI, NAICS codes, and past performance on our government capabilities page. We're happy to provide a capabilities statement, past performance references, or pricing on request.

FAQ
Video Production
We produce a wide range of video content including brand films, commercials, corporate videos, training and instructional videos, social media content, documentary-style productions, product videos, recruitment videos, and government and public affairs videos. If it involves a camera and a story worth telling, we can help.
It depends on the scope. A straightforward corporate video typically takes 3–6 weeks end to end, including pre-production, shoot day(s), and post-production. A larger brand film or multi-video campaign can take 8–12 weeks or more. Rush timelines are possible; just let us know your deadline upfront and we'll tell you honestly what's achievable.
Our video production process covers pre-production (concept, scripting, storyboarding, location scouting, scheduling), production (shoot days, direction, crew, equipment), and post-production (editing, color grading, sound design, music, motion graphics, and final delivery in all formats). We handle every phase. You don't need to coordinate multiple vendors.
Yes! ...and we're good at it. Many clients come to us with a general goal but no script or brief. Our team includes writers and creative directors who can develop the concept, write the script, and build a full creative direction before a camera ever rolls. You don't need to arrive with everything figured out.
Absolutely. We produce short-form video optimized for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms, including vertical formats, caption-burned versions, and platform-specific aspect ratios. We can also repurpose existing long-form content into a short-form social series. This pairs naturally with our marketing and content strategy services.
FAQ
Event + Livestream
We handle events of all sizes and formats: corporate conferences, summits, galas, award ceremonies, concerts, town halls, panel discussions, workshops, press conferences, watch parties, and hybrid or virtual events. We've produced events as intimate as a 20-person boardroom session and as large as a multi-camera arena concert. Same crew. Same care. Every scale.
Yes, hybrid event production is one of our core capabilities. We manage multi-camera setups, live switching, streaming to virtual platforms, and in-room AV simultaneously. Whether your audience is in the room, on Zoom, or watching a public livestream, we make the experience cohesive and professional for everyone watching.
This is one of the smartest things a brand can do with an event, and yes, we do it. We can capture your event and turn it into highlight reels, speaker clips, social media cutdowns, recap videos, podcast-style audio, and full session recordings. Pair this with our marketing team and we'll build a full content distribution strategy around it before the room clears out.
For larger events, multi-day conferences, galas, or concerts, we recommend booking at least 6–8 weeks in advance to allow time for proper pre-production, equipment planning, and logistics. For smaller events or straight livestreams, 2–3 weeks is usually workable. That said, we've pulled off fast-turnaround events before. Reach out and we'll tell you what's possible.
FAQ
Photography
We offer corporate headshots and executive portraits, team photography, event and conference coverage, product and commercial photography, brand and editorial photography, food and beverage photography, and architectural and interior photography. We shoot on location at your office or venue, or in our Boston-area studio.
Yes, and we make it painless. We come to your office, set up an efficient rotation, and photograph your whole team in a single day. Everyone walks away with polished, consistent headshots ready for LinkedIn, your website, and press use. We've done team shoots from 5 people to 100+. Reach out for a custom quote based on your team size and location.
Absolutely! It's often the most efficient approach. One crew, one brief, one shoot day means everything stays visually consistent and you save on logistics. We'll coordinate both disciplines from a single production plan so nothing gets lost between teams. It's one of the real advantages of working with a firm that does both.
FAQ
Marketing + Strategy
Our marketing arm covers the full funnel: brand identity and voice development, content strategy, paid social and search advertising, SEO, email marketing, influencer placement, analytics and reporting, and multi-channel campaign execution. Because we're also a production company, we can build and execute the strategy and create all the content it runs on, under one roof (or in our case, in the same diner booth).
Both. We offer project-based engagements, a brand audit, a campaign launch, a specific deliverable, as well as ongoing fractional marketing retainers for brands that want consistent strategic support without the cost of a full-time hire. We'll do as much or as little as you need. No pressure to buy a package you don't want.
A marketing audit is a structured review of your current brand presence, messaging, channels, and content and is designed to identify where you're strong, where you're losing ground, and where the biggest opportunities are. We offer a free 20-minute version as a no-pressure starting point. You walk away with real observations, not a sales pitch.
Yes. Whether you're starting from scratch or refreshing an existing brand, we build complete brand identity systems with logo, color palette, typography, visual language, and tone of voice guidelines. These become the foundation for every piece of content, video, and campaign we produce together going forward.
FAQ
Budget + Pricing
Video production pricing varies significantly based on scope, crew size, shoot days, and post-production complexity. A single-day corporate video might start around $3,000–$8,000. A full brand film or multi-video campaign can run $15,000–$50,000+. We're transparent about pricing from the start and will always tell you what's achievable within your budget, rather than oversell and underdeliver.
Yes. We don't save the good stuff for the big budgets. We've worked with bootstrapped founders and billion-dollar brands and every project gets our best. If your budget is limited, we'll tell you honestly what's possible within it and help you prioritize what matters most. Some clients bring us a full brief; some bring us a napkin sketch and a number. We work with both.
Of course. Reach out with a brief description of what you're looking to produce and we'll come back with a detailed scope and estimate, no strings attached. The more context you can share (goals, timeline, rough budget range), the more accurate our estimate will be. There's no cost or obligation to get a quote.
Sometimes, but the comparison isn't quite apples to apples. When you hire Midnight Brunch, you get a full team: director, producer, camera, sound, editor, and project management all coordinated under one roof. You're not managing 6 different freelancers and hoping they work well together. For projects that need multiple disciplines, especially video plus photography or video plus marketing, the integrated approach often saves both time and money.
We're flexible and happy to discuss phased approaches that spread cost over time, especially for larger campaigns or ongoing retainer work. Typically we structure projects with a deposit to begin and milestone payments tied to key deliverables. If budget timing is a constraint, just tell us, we'd rather find a structure that works than lose a great project over cash flow timing.
